This app allows you to send many of your contacts the same message, but with their first name inserted somewhere in the message. This gives your mass texts a personal touch for each contact.
I created this project last September, after I moved into my residence at Waterloo. I had just switched to a new Waterloo number, and I had to tell all of my contacts. At first, I thought I could just send everyone the same generic text: "Hi, this is my new number - Sahil Jain." That type of text seemed too impersonal for my close friends, so I decided to put their first names into text: "Hi FIRSTNAME, this is my new number - Sahil Jain." I created this app to accomplish the task of replacing FIRSTNAME with the contacts first name. Every recipient thought that I personally typed out each text, and they were touched.
